MILLINERY CLASSES

This morning I was planning to go down the local evening school to enter in the millinery classes the teach over there. But unfortunately I had to go and get sick last night. Stil feeling a bit weak and woozy I called the school today to ask if there was any way possible for me to still enter the classes. The teacher was so kind. She said it would be no problem for me to start next week and everything will be arranged then.
Happy me ;) I'm dreaming about making hats for a long time now but never really took the time or effort to actually start learning about this beautiful craft. Well it's never to late they say.
I'm pretty excited about it. Hopefully with many nice creations as a result.

MAKURA NO SOSHI - PILLOW BOOK

A little over 1000 years ago Sei Shonagon choose a perfect piece of paper, took up her brush, dipped her brush into the night black ink and started to write her Makura no Soshi or pillow book. A collection of personal thoughts, lists of all kinds, poetry, observations, complaints, and anything she found of interest during her years as a court lady to Empress Teishi.
Ever since she putted her thoughts on paper it became an inspiration to historians, writers, court members, movie makers and many alike. Now I find it's my time to make my own pillow book. I'm starting a new journey in my life, a new adventure which I want to share with everyone who might be interested.

My successes and failures
Things I like and things I dislike
My thoughts on events, habits, people,...
A smile and a tear
Things that caught my attention
New knowledge I learn and want to share
Beauty I encounter
Special events that occur in my life
Things that make my heart beat faster
Things that inspire me
